Early Childhood Application Procedure

Requirements

Applicants to the SGLA Early Childhood Program must have reached four years of age by September 1 of the year of entrance. SGLA offers three program options so that families can select the program that works best for their family. We require the following for a complete application:

  1. An Application

    2. Completing the application form is the first step in our admissions process. Please complete the Application and send it via electronic mail to our Registrar. Please indicate on the application which program (three-days, four-days, or five-days/week) you prefer. If there is no program selected, our Registrar will place your student in the five-days/week program.

  2. A Parent Statement

    3. We consider parents to be an integral part of a child's education. Your description of your child will help us understand him or her better. Please complete the Parent Statement and include it with your child's application.

  3. A Teacher Feedback Form

    4. If your child has been enrolled in a preschool program, please provide your child’s current teacher with this form and have him or her complete and submit it to the Registrar.

Kindergarten Application Procedure

    4. Please provide your child's current homeroom teacher with the Teacher Evaluation Form and have him or her submit the completed form to the Registrar by the application deadline

  4. School Records Request

    5. Please provide the appropriate official at your child's current school with the School Records Request and have records submitted to the Registrar by the application deadline

6th Grade through 12th Grade Application Procedure

Requirements

We require the following for a complete application:

  3. Writing Sample

    4. Complete and submit form by application deadline.

Teacher Evaluation: English or Social Studies

Provide your child's English or social studies teacher with an evaluation form and have him or her complete and submit to the Registrar by the application deadline.

Teacher Evaluation: Math or Science

Provide your child's English or social studies teacher with an evaluation form and have him or her complete and submit to the Registrar by the application deadline.

School Records Request

Please provide the appropriate official at your child's current school with the School Records Request and have records submitted to the Registrar by the application deadline
